Qdos Event Hire was honoured to be asked by M-is to supply a range of their welfare facilities for the marking the centenary of the Battle of Jutland, as the biggest naval engagement of World War One, it was commemorated with a service at St Magnus Cathedral in Orkney.

The battle was fought in 1916, near the coast of Denmark and involved 250 ships and claimed 8,648 lives. The service was attended by David Cameron, Nicola Sturgeon and the Princess Royal, who was joined by descendants of those who fought in the largest naval battle of the First World War.

Qdos transported two self-contained luxury toilets with a configuration of three ladies and two gents, a mobile disabled toilet and two single toilets, from their base in Beaconsfield, travelling in excess of 700 miles over land and sea to Orkney,

In addition to their work with M-is, Qdos also provided logistical support to the Metropolitan Police for the project, as part of their on-going contract with them.
