Working closely with the Studio Manager and the wider production team, Qdos Location Facilities has been onsite at Pinewood Studios since December 2020 creating additional office space and welfare facilities for Lucasfilm’s latest production.
The standout element of the project is a bespoke 50-bay CTX modular building which was created to meet the needs of the famous filmmaker.
Qdos’ expert team carried out both the design and installation work to Lucasfilm’s exact specifications. This included the building’s overall layout, identifying where doors, walls and windows needed to be and overseeing the provision of amenities i.e. water, waste, power, air conditioning and heating.
The impressive double stacked building includes individual and larger open plan office spaces, kitchen and welfare areas as well as meeting, IT and storage rooms. It also incorporates CTX’s sanitation solutions allowing for high end male and female facilities on both floors.
Utilising solid and glazed partitions creates an inviting work environment, that along with the purpose-built staircase gives the entire building a permanent feel.
Additional Qdos equipment onsite at Pinewood includes 32’ and 24’ jackleg cabins and toilets for members of the prop making, medical, transport, construction, and studio departments.
