Leading provider of temporary accommodation and welfare facilities to the event industry, Qdos Event Hire, has announced a new three-year contract with IMG to deliver all temporary accommodation and welfare solutions for the prestigious Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The partnership follows a competitive tender process, with the 2025 Championship, taking place from 2nd – 5th October, marking the first year of the agreement.
A highlight of the European golf calendar, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is the only professional tournament played annually across the historic Old Course at St Andrews, the Championship Course at Carnoustie and the modern classic Kingsbarns. It remains one of the most iconic events on the DP World Tour, combining top-level competition with an enduring legacy in the sport.
Working closely with IMG, Qdos deployed over 120 individual units across the three venues, providing high-quality accommodation and welfare facilities to support the organiser, event partners and contractors onsite. The project showcased Qdos’ ability to deliver large-scale, logistically complex installations to the highest standard.
The range of units supplied included: 73 cabins in various sizes and configurations and 55 toilets ranging from male, female and mixed jackleg toilet units to accessible units, plastics and luxury trailers and storage containers.
These units were utilised for a wide range of operational purposes including site offices, production control, medical and security offices, staff welfare areas, media and TV compounds and stores. There were also facilities provided for players and VIP areas.
To ensure smooth delivery, the Qdos team implemented a carefully planned staggered installation schedule, working seamlessly alongside multiple contractors and venue operations. All units were delivered from Qdos’ Newmains depot, with the team onsite from 18th August – 23rd October, overseeing every stage from delivery and installation to de-rig.
Qdos supplied several bespoke solutions, including custom internal layouts for production and event control cabins, anti-vandal units for secure operational areas and accessible toilets and showers for players and guests
A team of onsite engineers provided ongoing technical support throughout the event, ensuring all facilities remained fully operational and maintained to the highest standards.
