Queen’s Baton Relay 2017 Case Study

Qdos Event Hire was asked to provided mobile offices, WC’s and a dressing room for the Queen’s Baton Relay when it was held at Buckingham Palace on 13th March 2017. The event produced by C&L Partners on behalf of Jack Morton Worldwide, began the countdown to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Qdos provided:

3 x 18ft x 7ft6in Open Plan Mobile Offices

1 x 18ft x 7ft6in Mobile Office with a 50/50 configuration

1 x 32ft x 10ft Dressing Room with a 50/50 configuration

1 x 3 + 1 + Disabled Vacuum Toilet Trailer

2 x 3 + 2 Vacuum Toilet Trailer

Qdos delivered the kit to site on Saturday 11th March with collection staggered across the 13th and 14th March to suit the organiser’s requirements.

The Queen began the baton relay, which contains a message from the monarch that will be read out at the Opening Ceremony next April, to two-time Olympic champion cyclist Anna Meares as it started its journey to host country Australia.  The relay will span 388 days and 71 countries with the Games beginning on 4th April 2018.
