Senior Open Championship – Case Study
When the Senior Open Championship headed to Sunningdale this July, Qdos Event Hire was on hand to deliver the organiser with a single order solution for the event. This included toilets, offices and storage containers, alongside project management and onsite support.
Qdos has enjoyed a long relationship with the PGA European Tour and this year they provided them with updated cabins in order to meet their requirements in terms of size and configuration. They provided almost 40 cabins in a variety of sizes; 12’, 16’ 20’, 24’, 32’ and 40’ that were utilised as site offices for the organisers and their suppliers. In addition they also provided accommodation for the TV companies broadcasting the action and their commentators.
In terms of toilets Qdos provided 12 of their jackleg toilet trailers in a mixture of male, female and disabled, for the production area, tented village and concessions, along with 15 plastic toilets around the course for use by spectators.
Despite rain halting play on the Friday, American Marco Dawson sank an 18ft birdie to win and prevented runner-up Bernhard Langer from securing a record-equalling second successive Senior Tour trophy.
