Qdos Event Hire supplied The Luna Cinema with two 20’ x 9’ open plan event offices and two 20’ x 8’ containers for the production area of this year’s FriendsFest. The event toured around the UK from 7th July to 24th September with the Qdos kit moving to each of the six locations along the way. Starting at Hillsborough Park, Sheffield, it moved to Bute Park, Cardiff; Heaton Park, Manchester; Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire; Hylands House, Essex, the run ended in Clissold Park, London. Qdos’ transport team was on-hand throughout to ensure that everything was in place for when the production team arrived onsite.
FriendsFest has proved hugely popular over the last few years, so Comedy Central UK, in partnership with The Luna Cinema, brought it back bigger and better for 2017. Event goers began their experience by checking in at Monica’s apartment and this year’s festival included full scale set of Joey and Chandler’s apartment, original memorabilia from the iconic show, new fan experiences and a big screen set-up to create the outdoor festival feel.
