Qdos assists M-is with unveiling of Ghandi statue in London’s Parliament Square
When a new statue of Mahatma Ghandi was unveiled in London’s Parliament Square this March, Qdos Event Hire was only too happy to assist organiser M-is with facilities for the event. They provided one of their 4 + 2 luxury toilet trailer, a luxury disabled toilet trailer for guests and a mobile office, complete with furniture for use as a production office, along with two plastic toilets for the crew working on the event.
The two hour event took place on Saturday 14th March, given the location Qdos’ expert operations team installed the units at 5am on the Thursday prior, to avoid traffic, and removed them on the Saturday afternoon.
The 9ft statue, opposite the Palace of Westminster, was erected to mark the 100th anniversary of Ghandi’s return to India to start the struggle for independence from British rule.
In attendance for the inauguration ceremony were the Prime Minister, David Cameron, India’s finance minister, Arun Jaitley, Ghandi’s grandson, the former governor of West Bengal, Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi, and Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan.
