Qdos Event Hire supplied temporary accommodation to this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, in the first of a three-year contract with the RHS. The team delivered more than 25 cabins and mobile offices, for a variety of purposes, including: offices and a mess area for the show’s organising team; offices for official contractors; accreditation areas; an IT room and a media facility.

To fulfil the contract, Qdos invested in new kit and took delivery of a brand new 40’ cabin and six 20’ cabins, including one specifically commissioned by the RHS for their accreditation office, in time for the prestigious event.

The bespoke design has a unique configuration to meet its exact requirements. In addition, several of the cabins were supplied in green, to blend in with the green site at Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Given the location and layout of Royal Hospital Chelsea and some of the areas where cabins are sited, amongst trees etc., Chelsea Flower Show is often considered to be fairly challenging logistically.  This was all factored into the planning stages, with due attention given to timings, everything was painstakingly scheduled in advance to ensure smooth delivery once onsite.

The first wave of the event build saw cabins delivered and installed on 27th and 28th April, with a dedicated Qdos project manager in attendance.
